Latvian pagan metallers SKYFORGER reveal their new studio album “TEIKAS” (Folktales), their first release in ten years! For the past few years, SKYFORGER have been busy unearthing a selection of finest gems from the rich depths of Latvian history and folklore, now polished to perfection in “FOLKTALES”, their first release in ten years. Vocalist Pēteris says: “The days of fables, tales and stories being handed over from generation to generation are long gone. This tradition is not coming back ever. Fortunately, we still have so much of it noted down and preserved. In our latest album, we wanted to take the listener back to those mythical olden days when gods, deities, devils, witches and werewolves walked among people, and there were all these mysterious and wondrous places and sites right next to us, here in Latvia, that our ancestors wanted to to tell us about."
