“I Trollskogens Drömmande Mörker” is Otyg stepping further into their own world. More bite, more movement, and more confidence than “Bertagen”. The songs are tighter, the melodies sharper, and the playing more adventurous, without losing the natural Folk feel.
The violin and female vocals are woven into the music, not sitting on top of it. They add depth and character rather than decoration. Norrut stands out as proof of how skilled and imaginative the band already were, while the final tracks slow things down and leave a lingering, almost ritual atmosphere.
