PAGAN RITES was born anno Sathanas 1991 by the former members of AUTOPSY TORMENT, the front man DEVIL LEE ROT and Sexual Goat Licker. During the years there have been a lot of member changes and worth to mention is that Hellbutcher and Tyrant of Nifelhiem was in the band on the release "MARK OF THE DEVIL".
The line up today is Aggressor(Styggelse) on bass, Desekrator(Storm Death), DEVIL LEE ROT(Autopsy Torment, Tristitia, Ajatus) and RexInferi(Void moon) how decided to leave the band. But an new drummer will enter the Pagan pride in a short while.
PAGAN RITES has been played live with band such as: Mortuary Drape, Sodom, Desaster, WarHammer, swedish Karnivore (at the time Karneywar), Styggelse, Tyranex, Most gigs has been in Germany as well as the Hells Pleasure festival anno 2008 with Pentagram, Necrophobic, The Devils Blood, Zemial and others.
With releases on Primitive Art, Iron Pegasus, Hells Headbangers, Nuclear War Now! amongst other, they are well known in the underground.
The “Preachers From Hell” was recorded at the Sonic Train Studios with Stefan Karlsson (ex-Soul Reaper) and was mastered by Andy LaRoque (King Diamond). Old school Black/Thrash Metal!
